EARTH ENSO (2022)
150 pounds of black lava rock make a 7’x7’ ceremonial, circular form presented in the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
THE NATURAL FORM (2021)
Combining elements of painting and sculpture, I aim to highlight a distinction between art (order) and nature (chaos). Natural forms are harnessed onto canvas to showcase an isolated, primitive, and minimalistic beauty of nature. These forms extend off of the boundaries of the canvas symbolizing environmental anarchy towards any form of control.

NEGATIVE SPACE (2021)
A minimalist sculpture that serves as an architectural study of positive and negative space of structures. Imperfect applications of paint showcase the underlying material quality of cardboard.

COMPRESSION (2021)
Simultaneously sculpture and optical device, Compression is an interactive structure that alters one’s experience of landscapes by offering three varying views. Compression aims to isolate natural forms within landscapes, while playing with degrees of perception. The effect of natural light and shadows within the chamber-like sculpture heighten the viewer’s experience of the natural world around them.
75” x 24” x 27” - Wood
SAVANNA (2020)
Savanna examines how natural forms and systems can inform the design of the built environment and the objects we make. I look towards my own natural environment, an oak savanna in Illinois to guide the visual language of the artworks. The Environment Scan series illustrates the chaotic, non-linear connectedness of the natural world. The Regional Map series employs personal mapping techniques of natural forms to showcase micro and macro views of my local environment. Additional digital images show unseen views of organic textures.
